Veterans (VA) Benefits

The Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science is committed to supporting those who have served. Upon receipt of your Enrollment Certification form, the department's School Certifying Official (SCO) will process your enrollment to the VA using the Veterans Enrollment Management system.

Once certified, tuition payments are issued directly to Student Accounting. In accordance with federal regulations, GI Bill® students are protected from late fees; a verified roster is provided to Student Accounting to ensure no penalties are imposed during the processing period.

Required Documentation

All new and continuing Veteran and dependent students eligible for educational benefits are REQUIRED to submit the following documentation via email to ptadmissions@som.umaryland.edu:

  • Declaration of Intent
  • Copy of Eligibility (COE)
  • Copy of Tuition Bill
