Our Chair, Mary Rodgers, PT, PhD, FAPTA began a year of sabbatical on September 1, 2009. She will be taking advantage of a great opportunity at NIH, doing a fellowship with the National Institute of Bioimaging and Bioengineering in Bethesda. “I am very excited for this development opportunity, and look forward to returning as Chair next year with new perspectives and connections that will benefit the department,” said Dr. Rodgers before her departure.
During her absence, the department is being lead by Interim Chair Mark Rogers, PT, PhD, FAPTA. Mark, formerly at Northwestern University, joined the department as a professor last year. He recently received an R01 from the NIH/National Institute of Aging entitled "Lateral Stability and Falls in Aging (1R01AG029510-01A2)."
