University of Maryland, Baltimore Doctor of Physical Therapy students can apply for various scholarships. Some are available through the admissions process, and some are available while they are enrolled.

Donald J. Hobart Scholarship
This endowed fund, in honor of the contributions made by Donald J. Hobart, PhD, provides scholarships for students enrolled in their second or third year of the UMSOM Department of PTRS. This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of leadership abilities, academic standing, compassion and humanitarian qualities, and involvement in extracurricular activities. Both Second and Third Year DPT students are eligible to apply.

Karyn E. Wade Memorial Scholarship
The Karyn E. Wade Memorial Scholarship provides endowed scholarship support for students in good academic standing as they enter their third and final year of study. Recipients of this scholarship will be selected based on their participation in community service or volunteer activities. Students will also have to submit a short essay that reflects their knowledge of the effects of Lupus. Second Year DPT students are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

The Stephen M. Selected students must be excellent communicators, compassionate, strong leaders, and driven to change and improve the physical therapy profession.
