Dual-Degree Options
Once admitted to the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, students are eligible to apply for one of the dual‑degree options.
These positions are competitive and will require completion of separate supplemental applications (to either the MPH or PhD programs). Completion of supplemental applications does not guarantee acceptance into the dual‑degree options.
Available Dual-Degree Pathways

DPT/MPH Dual-Degree
Prepare as a PT clinician versed in public health. One to two positions available annually.

DPT/PhD Dual-Degree
Integrative structure for clinical research excellence. One position available annually.

BS/DPT Pathway
Accelerated dual degree for Kinesiology (KNES) students at the University of Maryland, College Park.
