Call for Volunteers
Volunteer Faculty - PTRS is very interested in cultivating practicing clinicians who would like to be involved with teaching and/or service to the Department. The volunteer faculty member would agree to provide a minimum number of contact hours per year of teaching or other service to our department. For those interested in developing their academic credentials through a voluntary faculty position, PTRS offers a number of benefits. For each 30 hours of service the volunteer faculty member provides to the Department, the volunteer faculty member will be eligible for benefit. The benefit amount is related to the amount of time provided in activities.
Class Captain - Be the contact point and liaison between the department and your classmates. Contact your classmates to invite them to reunions.
Alumni-Admissions Mentor - Applicants for Admissions into the DPT program must perform a minimum of 100 hours of work (volunteer or paid) under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. As an Alumni-Admissions Mentor we will include you as the contact and your workplace on a list of sites where applicants can complete the required hours.
Phone-a-thon - Give a call to your fellow classmates to say "hello", catch up on news, and ask if they would support the department's Annual Fund. Calls can be made either at our Calling Center here on campus, or at your convenience at home or work.
