Admission Requirements
Interested applicants should contact Terry Heron at theron@som.umaryland.edu.
Applications should be received by July 1st to enroll for the Fall Semester and October 15th to enroll for the Spring Semester.
Candidates must provide the following:

Application fee ($100)

Application for In-State Status Classification with all required attachments.

Copy of your current United States physical therapy license

An OFFICIAL transcript from each college or university attended, including:

A transcript confirming graduation from an accredited physical therapy program

A current resume or curriculum vitae is not required but may be submitted by applicant.

Three (3) recommendation forms - Recommendation Form

The person submitting your recommendation form may also attach a personal letter.

Only 1 of the recommendations may be from a PTRS faculty member. Please complete the top section of the recommendation form and deliver or mail them to the individuals who will write your recommendations. Each recommendation must be enclosed in a sealed envelope with the recommender’s signature across the envelope flap. The recommendations may be sent to the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science by the recommender or by the applicant along with the application documents.

For international students whose native language is not English, submit Official TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores sent directly from ETS. Our institution code is 5848 and our department code is 48.
