Biography:

David Russ, PT, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science. He received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his MPT and PhD degrees from the University of Delaware. His research focuses on muscle energetics and fatigue. During his post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, he began studying these phenomena in aging subjects, and he continues to pursue this line of inquiry. His current work involves both human and animal experiments to investigate the mechanisms of muscle fatigue, how these may change with aging and what the possible functional impact of these changes might be.
